Description
Learning Objectives:
1. Attendees will be able to use patient characteristics and the ADA medication algorithms for type 2 diabetes to prioritize therapeutics for individual patients
2. Attendees will be able to understand meaningful indications and contraindication to the use of SGLT-2 inhibitors and CLP-1 receptor agonists
3. Attendees will be able to utilize an evidence-based approach to injectable therapy for type 2 diabetes
This program was planned and implemented by the Montana Osteopathic Association (MOA) and was accredited by the Missouri Association of Osteopathic Physicians & Surgeons (MAOPS).
The Missouri Association of Osteopathic Physicians and Surgeons is accredited by the American Osteopathic Association to provide osteopathic continuing medical education for physicians and designates this program for a maximum of 1.5 AOA Category 2-A credits and will report CME and specialty credits commensurate with the extent of the physician's participation in this activity.
Grievance Policy:
All grievances should be in writing and should specify the nature of the grievance. Initially, all grievances should be directed to MAOPS Executive Director, who will then forward said grievance to the Education & Convention Committee. All grievances will receive an initial response in writing within 30 days of receipt. If the participant does not receive a satisfactory response, then they can then submit a complaint in writing to the Bureau of Osteopathic Education of the AOA at 142 East Ontario Street, Chicago, IL 60611.

Mike Geurin MD is the Associate Program Director for the Montana Family Medicine Residency, in Billings, Montana. Dr. Geurin is also Clinical Professor of Family Medicine at the University of Washington School of Medicine, as well as Clinical Adjunct Faculty for Pacific Northwest University of Health Sciences. He attended medical school at the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine, followed by residency at the Montana Family Medicine Residency. Dr. Geurin is interested in Graduate Medical Education, Information mMastery, Diabetes Care, and Maternity Care.
