Description
Join Government Affairs Director Lisa Ekman and Deputy Government Affairs Director Stacy Cloyd on Tuesday September 25 at 1:00 p.m. eastern time for NOSSCR’s third quarterly Washington Update webinar for 2018. The summers of election years are usually quiet in Washington but, as with many things these days, this summer in Washington was anything but typical. The webinar will provide you with an update about the PAC and our election forecast, the latest information on the status of Fiscal Year 2019 appropriations hopefully answering questions like will there be a government shutdown, an update (if any) on the nominations of Andrew Saul for Commissioner of SSA and David Black for Deputy Commissioner and what we think might happen in the lame duck session following the election. The webinar will also feature updates on the latest developments at SSA including SSA’s plan to reinstate reconsideration, ALJ issues (including implementation of the Executive Order on ALJ hiring, Lucia and SSA ALJ hiring plans), regulations finalized in July (including changes to the representative code of conduct), and implementation of the CARES backlog reduction plan. Register today to join Lisa and Stacy for this webinar.
