This workshop will identify fundamental principles of Ericksonian approaches as they pertain to group work for clients in recovery from substance abuse. Curriculum development, specific exercises and activities relevant to process and psycho-educational groups will be demonstrated. Application successes and limitations will be discussed.
Educational Objectives:
- Assess the applicability of Ericksonian philosophy with substance abuse treatment group work.
- Identify three methods of engaging participants in group activities.

Roxanna Erickson Klein, RN, PhD, is a registered nurse for more than 40 years, Roxanna has a passion for the interface for psychological and physical medicine. She has special training in the treatment of recovery from chemical dependency and is currently working on a license in counseling.
