Antidepressant Medication Update for the Primary Care Provider: Objectives
1. List the classes of antidepressants, and major differences between them, including indications, contraindications, major side-effects and contraindications.
2. Understand the various indications antidepressant medications are used for, in addition to depression.
3. Given various cases, choose the most appropriate antidepressant for the indication desired.
Telepsychiatry and Primary Care- Pushing the Boundaries: Objectives
1. Identify challenges to psychiatric care that telepsychiatry can help with
2. Identify some steps that can be utilized in primary care practices to promote telepsychiatry use

Dr. Smith is an Associate Professor and Chief of Psychiatry at the University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine and a Founding Psychiatry Residency Program Director at Portsmouth Regional Hospital's new GME program affiliated with Tufts University School of Medicine. Dr. Smith is a board certified Psychiatrist by the American Osteopathic Board of Neurology and Psychiatry.
Dr. Smith worked as the sole psychiatrist in Washington County, Maine, for five years before pursuing other opportunities. He is currently clinically active at the State Psychiatric Hospital in Concord, New Hampshire. He serves on the Maine Board of Osteopathic Licensure and is the Clerkship Director of Psychiatry for the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. Dr. Smith has spoken nationally and at several regional educational programs in New Hampshire, Vermont, and Maine.
Dr. Smith discloses that he received a speaker fee for being a promotional speaker for Otsuka-Lundbeck, Incorporated.

Dr. Ng practices psychiatry at Acadia Hospital in Bangor, ME and Mercy Hospital in Portland, ME. He attended SUNY at Buffalo School of Medicine, becoming an MD in 1991. He continued his training at St. Vincents Hospital and Medical Center of New York (1995) and New York State Pscyhiatric Institute (1996). He is board certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.
